Memphis traditions

December 02, 2008

I'm going to keep this post a bit light [no pun intended] to give you a chance to include your favorite Memphis holiday traditions.  Feel free to leave your links in the comments section.

Zoo Lights is a Memphis tradition that brings people from all around the Mid-South.  It features over a million lights and is Memphis's biggest light show.  Santa is in attendance along with Dasher and Dancer.  The Zoo will be lit up until Dec. 30th so bundle up the kids and check out it out.

The Enchanted Forest - This is a fifty year strong tradition in Memphis.  TWIGS of Le Bonheur puts this on every year.  It's a veritable winter wonderland complete with Santa and lots of Christmas trees.  The exhibit will be around until the 31st of December.  Check the website for exhibit costs.

There are also lots and lots of parades around the city for you and your kids to attend.  Click here for a list of times and places.

What do you do with your kids every Christmas?
