seeing their reflection

January 13, 2009

If you haven't noticed by now, Tuesdays are "list" days around here.

The topic of today's list is "seeing their reflection" - places to take your kids so that they can see themselves.

Since one of the most challenging things that I've experienced with my kids is finding a photographer who really gets my kids and can get a smile, I figured that I would give you a list of really great kid photographers.  I hope that the listed "picture takers" can help you capture the memories that you're wanting to save.

  1. Ashleigh Peak Photography - This is a photographer who does black and white RIGHT. Sessions are one hour in length and Ashleigh will travel for an additional charge. She also offers greeting cards/announcements along with the really cool option of having a coffee table book created.
  2. Cindy B. Thymius Photography - Natural light is what gets me and I really like Thymius's style.  Her pricing is reasonable and she can even do custom photo cards for you at $2 per card with a minimum order of 25.  Not only will you have some wonderful pictures, but you'll also have a great way to share those memories with friends and family.  Sessions are three hours in length and are taken in natural light.
  3. Tammy Ward Photography - Photo bags, great wall art and really cool frames to help display your pictures properly are all some to the neat things that Tammy Ward offers to go along with your photos.  Stunning use of light and colors are practically guaranteed.

I really hope that I've given you some ideas for your next family portrait.  I think that any one of these really talented women can do an amazing job for you and your kids.
